Isabel Lenoir

Hi, I'm Isabel Lenoir.

I was born in Montevideo and I make music from candombe, but not only from there. My project was born from a personal search: understanding where I come from, what moves me and how that sounds today. I work with Afro-Uruguayan and Afro-Latin American roots as a starting point, not as a limit.

I want music to be a living, shared place, where heritage, the present and the possibility of imagining something new coexist.
