Bio
Isabel Lenoir is a singer-songwriter born in 2000 in Montevideo, Uruguay. She works primarily in Afro-Uruguayan music and has been a member of the Academy of African Music (AMA) since 2024.
Her music centers on candombe, blending it with other Afro-Latin American genres, revaluing and bringing a fresh perspective to these traditions. It emerges from a search for sonic identity and an authentic musical language, always respecting the roots of traditional genres.
Isabel has performed on multiple stages in Montevideo and Buenos Aires, carving out her place in the music scene. She has shared venues with Julieta Laso, Balta, Papina de Palma, Thomé, Nacho Algorta, Emmanuel Horvilleur, Mocchi, Tomi Lago, Sofía Álvez, Julieta Rada, Abril Olivera, NAFTA, among others.
In 2024 she presented her album «Piscina Libre» at Teatro Solís with sold-out tickets.
